An immersive exhibition to help encourage Danish youth to become more curious to STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects.

Olfactory (Scents/Smells): Sections of the physical space of the exhibition will contain small scent emitters with the smells being contained in their respective areas using micro-fan arrays.

On approaching that area, the participant will see neurons representing the olfactory pathways of the brain connecting – vague images of the source of the smell (coffee, oranges, roses etc.) will appear from the direction of another centre (visual) and they can watch a neural “bridge” form between these two centres, thickening/strengthening with every new scent.

"End of the Line" is the name of an Erasmus small-scale project produced in Cyprus in collaboration with the CYENS Centre of Excellence and Fox Media Documentaries. The project is a result of an Erasmus+ educational package that includes the VR experience End of the Line and a learning manual created by the CYENS Centre of Excellence in Cyprus. It explores the lives of a father and son, the fifth generation of fishermen, who have recently noticed a dramatic decrease in their catch—from substantial to almost non-existent. The VR experience places pupils from the Mediterranean area with the fishing family as they set their nets in the sun and rise early to check them, only to face consistent disappointment. The diminished catch has forced them to sell their fish directly on the street, rather than through fish sellers in the city.

 LIONFISH project

One day, the fisherman's son dives from the side of the boat to investigate the cause and discovers pollution, depleted oxygen levels in the water, and an invasive species, the lionfish, which has decimated the local fish population. In the accompanying learning material, the pupils of Cyprus are discussing solutions to specific problems. One is to build robots with Lego mindstorms to fix the situation.

This project sparked some interest in Europe. Among them was an invitation for Robert Fox from Fox Media Documentaries to come and present the work at the European Greens Extended Congress in Lyon during the spring of 2024

“Anatomy” (TV-series)
Content: Documentary TV series about three social enterprises. The film portrays Glad Teatret, a theatre company working with actors with disabilities, who impress audiences at theatre festivals across Denmark.

“Behind the Good Idea” (DR TV)
Content: A three-part documentary series about three remarkable ideas that have become reality.
Episode one explores methods for preventing the spread of invasive species in the oceans.
Episode two focuses on a plant used for mine clearance.
Episode three portrays the world’s largest vessel for transporting and installing offshore wind turbines.
Broadcast on DR2 and made available to all Danish upper secondary schools for use in Innovation.

“Off the Grid” (co-producer)
Content: Feature-length documentary for cinema and television about mobile architecture on a global scale.
Screenings: Swedish TV, Australian TV, and the cultural channel ARTE. Expected premiere in 2013.

“The Plan” (co-producer)
Feature documentary for cinema (2 hours) and TV (4 x 1 hour). Distributed by SF Film in Swedish cinemas.
Content: An international documentary about large and small plans around the world to counter climate change.
Screenings: Broadcast on SVT, shown in Swedish cinemas via SF, and distributed in Finland, Latvia, Norway, and numerous international TV stations.
Global premiere in Denmark at the Danish Design Centre, with simultaneous premieres on five continents.

“With Robots in Mind / The Robot Professor Around the World” (TV documentary) DR2
Content: The film follows world-renowned DTU professor Henrik Hautop Lund on his journey to Japan and the USA, where he seeks international partners for his robotics research projects.

“My Very Own Submarine” DR2.
Content: Feature documentary about an ordinary Dane who begins building the world’s largest privately constructed submarine in order to escape everyday life.

“Knowledge for the Future” DR2
A documentary film series for DR (National broadcaster) about three groundbreaking Danish scientists whose discoveries will shape the future in the fields of cloning, robotics, and evolution.
Produced in collaboration with DR TV, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science, and Danish Film Directors, among others.
Screenings: Broadcast on DR2. Shown in 60 Danish high schools in 2008. Also distributed internationally.

“Breath” (co-produced with Charon Film, Gothenburg) DR
Content: International TV documentary about the famous Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson (The Miracle of Life, Microcosmos) and three other scientists searching for viruses and bacteria at the world’s biological hotspots.

“The Planet” (co-producer with Charon Film)
Content: Epic documentary for cinema (90 min) and TV series (4 x 60 min) about the Earth as it may look in 2050, seen through the perspectives of scientists around the world.
Distributed by SF Film. Premiere in Stockholm. Cinema distribution in Sweden and Norway. TV distribution in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, and Germany.
Nominated for several awards, including the Joris Ivens Award at IDFA.

“The Core”
Content: Documentary about Danish Nobel Prize winner Niels Bohr. The film follows Bohr from childhood and youth, inspired by his father’s search for universal truths, through his growing insights into the nature of the atom and life itself.
Screening: Premiere at Odense Film Festival, August 2005. “River of Time” (producer, director, writer)
Content: Documentary about world-renowned Russian astrophysicist Igor Novikov, who received 89 million DKK from the Danish National Research Foundation for his pioneering work at the Theoretical Astrophysics Center in Copenhagen. The film explores his revolutionary theories on time.
Screenings: Premiere at Odense Film Festival 2003 and at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York.. Shown at festivals in 10 countries. Distributed by DR International and American Cinema Guild.

“Flash of a Dream” (with Zentropa – co-producer, writer, director)
Content: Historical documentary about Danish photographer Jacob Riis, unknown in Denmark but famous in the USA. After emigrating in 1870, he photographed the poor communities he lived among and became a close friend of President Theodore Roosevelt.
Reception: Submitted by Zentropa for Oscar consideration in Los Angeles. Variety described the film as “excellent” and “moving and educational.” Katalog called it “beautiful and soulful.”
Premiered at the Margaret Mead Theater, Lincoln Center, New York. Shown on TV in all Nordic countries, in Danish and Swedish cinemas, and at festivals in Berlin, Paris, Melbourne, and Gothenburg.

“Fragments of Truth”
Content: Documentary about the Dead Sea Scrolls, following five scholars from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Copenhagen as they retranslate the ancient texts.
Distributed by the Danish Library Centre.

“The Dolphin – A Gift from Allah”
Content: Film about the relationship between a solitary dolphin and a Bedouin in the Red Sea.
Reception: The director of International Dolphin Watch called it “one of the most beautiful films about dolphins we have seen.” Nominated for Best Documentary at the FICA Film Festival in Brazil.

“H.C. Andersen at the Graveyard”
Content: Dramatised documentary about the poet’s relationship with life and death, starring Eric Holm.
Reception: Politiken described the film as “beautiful,” “vivid,” and “like a painting.”

“The Coming Plague”
Content: Documentary screenplay about scientists’ fears of increasing deadly virus epidemics caused by human impact on global ecosystems.

“On the Way to Mars”
Content: Documentary about the visions and dreams behind scientists’ plans to colonise Mars and search for life on the Red Planet. Featuring Jens Martin Knudsen, Holger Bech Nielsen, and science fiction writer Inge Eriksen.
Reception: Information called it “a poetic space film.”
Screened at Tycho Brahe Planetarium (Copenhagen), Orion Planetarium (Jels), and Stenum Planetarium (Aarhus), and broadcast on TV2. Distributed by the Danish Film Institute.

“Rainman / Not Just for Pleasure”

Content: Documentary about the chairman of a local cooperative who collects raincoats and, for pleasure, dresses in multiple layers and walks in nature.
Reception: Politiken called it “the most original film” when nominated for Best Documentary at Odense Film Festival.
